WWE Rewind: From almost 2 weeks ago at the Taboo Tuesday PPV, Living Legend Chris Jericho loses the Intercontinental Championship to Shelton Benjamin.
Back for Raw recap. Last Monday Y2J got a shot at re-gaining the IC strap. Shelton managed to retain in a very good match. As he celebrated Christian ran in for a quick beatdown. After taking Shelton out with the Unprettier he took his turn posing with the IC belt.

2nd Match: Rob Conway & Sylvan Grenier vs. Lenny Lane & Ken Anderson. Referee is Mike Chioda.
Lenny and Ken already in the ring, good heat for La Res. Pre-match Rob whines about losing the tag straps to Chris Benoit at TabTues. Long story there that's been covered elsewhere. Snippet from Raw: Ric Flair assures HHH and Batista that he'll have no problem defeating Randy Orton in the night's Main Event. Break.
Back, we see Hardcore Legend Mick Foley reading his new kids book to some school children in Harlem.
Raw recap. Last Monday our beloved GM Eric Bischoff, bummed about getting a harsh haircut after losing a stipulation match to Eugene Dinsmore at TabTues, decided to take the night off and get hammered with Coach. In his absence World Champion HHH and his Evolution faction cronies decided to throw their weight around-with very mixed results. Whole group gut punked out backstage by the 'fan favorite' side of the roster and Maven scored an upset win over Batista. On the plus side, Flair, with help from his boys, defeated Randy-who, as per pre-match stip proposed by Hunter and agreed to, will now NEVER be granted a shot at 'his' World Championship. Real fun began post-match; As Flair and HHH celebrated they found themselves surrounded by the assembled Raw roster (Batista had already been dealt with). Randy first dispatched Ric with the RKO, Hunter tried to escape but ended up taking a SWEET trio of Germans from the Crippler, a Lionsault from the Living Legend and his very own RKO.
Coach guesses that the glory boys of Evo may be a bit pissed tomorrow night. Gee, ya think? Break.
Monster Job of the Week: From TabTues, Edge walks out on Chris Benoit, leaving him to win the tag straps on his own.
Main Event...
3rd Match: Chuck Palumbo vs. Chris Benoit. Referee is Chris Kay.
Mild heat for Chuck, who grabs a mic to announce himself as 'Custom Chucky P'. Automotive references leave the crowd yawning-until THE MAN (sorry Ric), carrying both tag straps, makes his way down to the pop of the night. (Sign in the crowd: 'Beniot is for real'. Oh well.) Bell rings, Chris appears mildly annoyed as Chuck runs the ropes, we go to the lockup, Chuck powers Chris into a corner, ref calls for the break. Chuck gets in the regulation cheap shot, Chris responds with a pair of (rather mild) chops to the chest, we go to circling and whining to the ref by Chuck. Another lockup, Chuck slaps on the side headlock, Chris walks him to the ropes and slips free, Chuck gets whipped to ropes, Chris goes down to a shoulder block as he rebounds, Chuck covers for 2. Up, back to circling, Chris applies a wristlock, Chuck backs to the ropes, ref forces a break. Lockup, side headlock takedown by Chuck, Chris struggles up and gets him to the ropes, Chuck gets whipped to opposite, Chris drops down, Chuck leaps over as he rebounds, Chris stands and connects with a pair of elbows to the face as Chuck again goes off the ropes. He retreats to a corner, Benoit serves up some backhands to the chest, Chuck manages the standing switch and scores with a series of shoulders to the gut. Ref forces him to back off, Chuck goes back to work with another headlock takedown, Chris gets to one knee and backs him to the ropes, hold is broken, Chuck fires off forearms to the back, Chris gets whipped to opposite ropes, Chuck whiffs on a haymaker as he rebounds and ducks under, Chris scores with a trio of chops before being shoved to the canvas. He rises, Chuck charges, Chris gets the telegraph message and ducks under, high kick by Chuck gets nothing but ropes, momentum sends him over the top to the outside. He shakes off the cobwebs, Chris goes off ropes and SOARS through opposite, pair of forearms to Chuck's face leave both men down at ringside. Final break.

Rear chinlock by Chuck, Chris gets to his feet and elbows out, Chuck blocks a kick and connects with a clothesline, Chris to canvas. Lackadaisical cover by Chuck just gets 2. Chris gets hauled up, showy right cross sends him right back down. Another crummy cover by Chuck gets 2. Chris again gets hauled up, Chuck whiffs on a haymaker, Chris looks for the Crossface, Chuck flails wildly and grabs the ropes to force the break. Chuck drops a trio of elbows, crowd is deathly silent as he goes for ANOTHER S****Y cover (really tempted to break my 'G Rated' policy for this one) that gets 2. Rear chinlock by Chuck, ZZZZZZZZ, forearms to the back by Chuck, Chris gets whipped into a corner, Chuck charges into a pair of boots to the face, YES! Chuck staggers, Chris goes off ropes, both men drop as they collide. Chuck rises at 6 and drops the double axehandle, Chris floats over a slam attempts and applies the waistlock, Chuck elbows out and goes for a kick, leg takedown by Chris, Chuck kicks him away, Chris ducks under a running clothesline, goes behind, crowd wakes up as he dishes out a QUINTET of Germans, both men are down for 3. He bitches at the ref for a bit before hauling Chris up by the hair, he sets for his modified Samoan Drop, Chris floats over and locks in the Crossface, Chuck quickly taps out.
